Every successful project has an ambitious Project Manager at the helm. As a Project Manager you act as the lead on projects, collaborating with quantity surveyors, architects, engineers, the client and various stakeholders to ensure its successful delivery.
Your role will include:
- Project definition, strategy and control
- Planning approval and supervision
- Contract management
- Programme management
- Reporting and monitoring progress
- Communication and stakeholder engagement
Graduate Scheme Structure
As an Artelia Graduate Project Manager you will follow our Association for Project Management (APM) Accredited Project Manager Development Programme.
You will have a Senior Project Manager mentor and manager, become a member of the Artelia Young Professionals forum
The first year of the graduate programme aims to give you the competencies and exposure to projects on which to build your future career. You will be mentored and work closely an experienced project manager on the delivery of multiple projects, drawing confidence from seeing how they operate and having regular reviews to ensure you feel supported and on track. You will also become a member the Artelia Young Professionals Forum – a peer-to-peer support group.
By the end of the year you will gain autonomy and responsibility for different aspects of a project. Depending on your team you may even be given full responsibility for the delivery of your own project.
Ambition is central to Artelia’s success and we expect our graduates to rise to new challenges. Your second year has been designed to stretch your improving project management skills, whilst you continue to study towards your APM qualifications. There are a wide range of opportunities available. Together with your mentor, you could decide to:
- Deliver fast-track projects in the Petrol Retail team
- Learn to deliver large hotel refurbishments with our multinational clients
- Work with senior project managers on a commercial fit-out project
- Develop your financial skills and commercial awareness with the Infrastructure and Project Finance team
- Refine your client facing ability on public sector consulting projects.
Managing Programmes, Chartership and Professional Qualifications
By year three of the programme you will expand your horizons and develop your skill set whilst you complete your APM Professional Qualifications. You will be given increasing responsibility, opening up an ever-greater range of challenging and interesting leadership opportunities.
This programme is flexible and can be adapted to meet your needs and the needs of our clients. There are no restrictions for graduates and the speed at which you progress at Artelia will be completely down to you, your ability, and the opportunities available.
You will now be able to command demanding leadership roles in the UK or abroad. The opportunities are virtually endless; you could help programme manage a Costa’s next retail initiative or open a new museum.
