Urgent works were required to reinstate the Hatcham Temple Grove school following a devastating fire. The primary school academy, with 475 pupils, forms part of the Haberdashers’ Aske’s Federation.
Artelia project and cost managed all aspects of the reinstatement, refurbishment and extension of the school, working directly with the head teacher and Governors to determine the scope of requirements and develop the project brief. We also managed negotiations with underwriters and loss adjusters from three insurance companies, as well as the London Borough of Lewisham, to agree the funding envelope. Extensive value engineering in conjunction with designers and contractors was key to agreeing funding with the various parties and delivering the school’s requirements.
