£25 million refurbishment of the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs’ 10 storey, listed London headquarters building.
The refurbishment was undertaken with the building in full occupation, including Ministers of State. Artelia programmed the work in floor-by-floor phases to ensure it remained fully operational throughout the works.
This challenging and complex transformation project has repaired and restored the fine, heritage features of the building, whilst creating a modern, professional image for the Department. It has delivered a number of benefits including increased workspace capacity and flexible workspace that can be adapted as Defra’s needs evolve.
