Adnams Brewery’s new Wine Cellar, Kitchen Shop and Cafe retail unit was cost managed by Artelia. This interesting and unique project included the relocation of large Fermentation Vessels from Adnams storage facility and their adaption for use as inserts to the new structure, to contain tables and chairs, as well as counters.
Artelia provided full evaluation and selection of tenderers. Cost control, for what was a very bespoke design, was managed using a fully measured Bills of Quantities, allowing for a detailed review of all tenders and individual items. The master programme was closely managed in respect of site operations, multiple trades and phasing of works. Financial reporting on a continuing basis post contract kept the client fully informed and ahead in decision making. The new Wine Cellar, Kitchen Shop and Cafe retail unit opened within budget and in time for Adnams’ pre-Christmas opening period which was crucial to their operations.
