Artelia’s sponsorship of the Association of Independent Museums’ (AIM) Conference is an important event in the calendar of our Heritage Project and Cost Management team. It provides an opportunity to meet and network with the people responsible for the conservation, interpretation and display of some of the UK’s most important national heritage. Understanding the passion these organisations have for their collections and the challenges they face is a core part of our service and the conference is a great opportunity to share experiences and lessons learned. In this vein, Heritage Project Director, Steve Prowse, will be running a workshop with curator of HMS Caroline, Victoria Miller, which looks at how Artelia worked with the National Museum of the Royal Navy to choreograph the complex restoration and display of this important World War 1 battleship, the last survivor of the Battle of Jutland, which is now one of the top rated visitor attractions in Belfast.
This year’s AIM conference runs from 21 – 23 June at the British Motor Museum in Warwickshire.
