Artelia were commissioned by Croudace Properties for the site at 3 Queen’s Road, Reading. This was a refurbishment of an existing 15,000 sq ft office building, where we worked with them from the very start of the project, advising them on refurbishment options, likely costs, and procurement of contractor and design team.
We carried out a full strip out and reconstruction of the internal spaces, including accommodation with all central support areas, including lavatories and shower facilities, to CAT A standards. We also carried out a renewal of external elements, including windows and doors, to improve the look and feel of the building.
The site was restricted, located on a very busy road, next door to a casino, and only 100m from The Oracle shopping centre, so we carefully programmed works and accesses so that our neighbours did not suffer any disruption.
