On Thursday 3rd September, Artelia attended the re-opening of the The Alexandra Road Park, Camden.

This park was a well-loved but somewhat neglected park in the heart of London.   It is part of the  Alexandra and Ainsworth housing estate, the first post-war council housing estate to be given listed status, and described by Peter Brooke, then Heritage Secretary, as “one of the most distinguished groups of buildings in England since the Second World War.”

Artelia were appointed for quantity surveying services for the £1million restoration which aims to keep the unique features of the park intact while bringing it into the twenty-first century.

A great day was had by all at the opening and the local community look forward to spending enjoyable days at the rejuvenated park.
