In support of International Women’s Day

Artelia UK’s Diversity Network ran a programme of events to celebrate International Women’s Day and in support of charities Smartworks and Refuge.
Marzia Bolpagni, a BIM Advisor, came into the office on Wednesday to deliver a really informative Talk for your Lunch. She spoke about her work with BIM and shared some of the challenges she has faced as a young woman in the industry, how she overcame them and how she thinks we can achieve a better gender balance in the future.
The clothing drive for Smartworks, a charity that provide interview coaching and clothing for women who are out of work, proved really successful. Items donated by Artelia will go a long way in helping build women’s confidence as they try to get back on their feet.
Keen bakers, Lucy, Nikki and Zoe sustained the office with delicious cakes and treats, raising £160 for Refuge, a charity that supports victims of domestic abuse.
And in the name of #BalanceForBetter, staff ‘Struck a Pose’ to send a powerful message about Artelia’s commitment to sustaining a gender balanced work place!
