Artelia, a dynamic and expanding consultancy specialising in building surveying, project management, and cost management, is seeking a Building Surveyor to join its growing team.
The Role
With offices in London, Birmingham and Ipswich we have active projects across the country in a variety of sectors and are committed to delivering high-quality services to our clients. We have recently won significant projects and are seeking to strengthen our team to assist with their delivery.
You will be a skilled and motivated Building Surveyor who is RICS chartered, or similar equivalent, with a strong background in due diligence and technical reporting,
You will have a good working knowledge of specification writing, preparation of tender documentation and contracts to enable you to undertake contract administration and Employer’s Agent duties and be confident in conducting site inspections and managing projects independently, as well as part of a team.
Building Surveyor: Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct due diligence and technical reporting for various projects.
- Manage and oversee multiple live projects at different stages.
- Lead project management and contract administration tasks, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
- Perform site inspections and provide on-site project management.
- Assist with the expansion and development of the building surveying service offerings.
Candidate profile
- RICS chartered (or similar equivalent)
- Proven experience in building surveying, project management, and contract administration.
- Strong technical reporting and due diligence skills.
- Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Requirement to travel to project sites as needed.
- Full driving licence and car ownership, with insurance to cover work travel.
- Good IT skills with capability of using Microsoft suite of products, AutoCAD, MS Project, Sharepoint and app based software.
