We have a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to embark on a Project/Commercial Management career in the construction industry.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an Assistant Commercial Manager to join our large friendly team of project managers based in our modern offices in Holborn. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, this is a great opportunity to understand the essential commercial administration processes involved in construction projects and is a great stepping stone to progress to a commercial project management role. We are looking for someone who is keen and willing to learn and with strong communication skills and a flexible approach to work.

Job Details

Main duties will involve, but not limited to:

  • Inputting of all invoices into the project data system, copying, scanning and filing invoices.
  • Liaising with other Artelia subsidiaries in Europe.
  • Updating and maintaining internal systems – Adding projects and assisting the Commercial team in allocating the budgets by creating and updating estimates.
  • Assisting the commercial team raising and issuing purchase orders.
  • Ensuring purchase orders are signed off by the Director
  • Using online banking to setup monthly Contractor/Supplier payments- ensuring that these are signed off by the Directors, and issuing corresponding remittances.
  • Full range of admin support including photocopying, binding, taking and issuing meeting minutes etc.
  • Making travel arrangements for the team, i.e. flights, trains, hotels and car hire as requested.
  • General ad hoc assistance to the Project Director and Senior Project Administrator.
  • To work in accordance with the Artelia International Management System.
