We are Artelia UK, a multidisciplinary Cost and Project Management Consultancy, working primarily in property and construction.
We have a key requirement in our London Office for a Chartered Senior Project Manager, with experience in the management and delivery of infrastructure and sports / leisure projects in both the Public and Private Sectors.
The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary project team to successfully deliver a portfolio of works (£45m+) with scope including infrastructure rollouts, sports and leisure projects and trade specific works packages.
The role has a particular focus on Cricket Stadia and therefore experience managing international cricket stadia projects is essential. We are also looking for someone with full working knowledge of primary infrastructure projects including the day to day management of planning, highways and statutory undertakers.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will be professionally Chartered, preferably through the Association of Project Management (APM) and having international project experience would be favourable.
The Senior Project Manager will be the primary contact for communications with a vast network of private and public stakeholders, responsible for management of iterative budgets and accountable for the monitoring, execution and reporting of project progress against baseline delivery targets, so good communication and stakeholder management skills are a must.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Post graduate experience in the management and delivery of infrastructure and sports / leisure projects.
- Experience managing internal teams up to 5 employees and multidisciplinary teams of 25+ members.
- Working knowledge of international cricket stadia operations.
- Experience in crowd safety, secure by design, counter terrorism, fire evacuation strategies and bomb resilience in sports stadia design and construction
- Detailed experience in the management of consortium clients including but not limited to the reconciliation of project agreements, shared deliverables, expenditure and forecast occupancies
- Full working knowledge and day to day management of Planning, Highways and Water authorities including technical design processes and legal agreements.
- Day to day experience of dealing with statutory authorities.
- Experience and understanding of value engineering process.
- Proven delivery record of projects with build values £15+ million within the UK and internationally
Key Skills
- 7+ years of project management experience including evidenced history of whole of project life cycle involvement
- Be professionally Chartered, preferably a Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) with Association for Project Management (APM)
- CSCS accredited with proficient knowledge of onsite best practise safety procedures
- Proficient with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, AutoCAD and REVIT
- Knowledgeable in the use of SharePoint
- Intimate understanding of JCT, NEC and ICC contracts in amended and unamended forms
Salary and Benefits
In exchange, we are offering a competitive salary (between £55,000 and £60,000) and an extensive benefits package including 5% pension, Life Insurance, and full private Medical Insurance. You will receive up to 27 days holiday plus bank holiday and 2 days charity leave each year.
