Artelia’s Healthcare team has just completed an intense piece of work, developing the Full Business Case for a new Medical Assessment Unit for an NHS client in just 10 weeks. The Business Case is structured according to the HM Treasure Green Book ‘Five Cases Model’ – comprising a detailed analysis of the Strategic Case, Economic Case, Commercial Case, Financial Case, and Management Case and was developed with full clinical co-production.
Normally, this scope of work would take around 18 months to complete, but the Trust wished to accelerate the programme in order to meet a release of funding deadline from regulators. Using a lean thinking approach, Artelia put in place a Senior Project Manager to facilitate all the required workstreams and information, enabling our business case writer to formulate the document. Clinicians and regulators were fully consulted and engaged in developing the content of the Business Case throughout, which means there are no anticipated delays with sign off from the Trust, NHS Improvement or the Department for Health and Social Care.
