Congratulations to Simon Case who has achieved the accolade of Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB) – a great personal and professional achievement.

Simon has some 24 years’ experience in the construction industry and had always intended to achieve chartered status. With Artelia developing closer links with the CIOB and encouragement from the Board for everyone to progress their professional development, Simon decided the time was right to take up the challenge and achieve his goal of MCIOB.

Through a combination of study, examination and demonstrating experience and competence, Simon was able to succeed in his application for Chartered Membership.

In Simon’s words: “MCIOB is something I’ve wanted to achieve for a long time, but never got round to doing. I’m so pleased that Artelia gave me the inspiration and opportunity I needed. The course of study has already expanded my knowledge via CPD and seminars, enabled me to meet like-minded people and learn from them. It gives me the confidence and kudos to better support the business and advance my career.

It is hard, working full time, with late nights and studying weekends, but definitely worth the effort. I’d like to encourage others to achieve similar and stress that like me, Artelia and your managers and colleagues will support you all the way through your application.”
