Official Opening of newly refurbished Swan Pool, Buckingham

The official opening of Swan Pool and Leisure Centre, operated by Everyone Active on behalf of Aylesbury Vale District Council takes place this Saturday. Artelia were acting as Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveyor for this £2.6m refurbishment and extension of the existing leisure centre.

Works included a gym extension, a wet & dry changing area extension, new sauna, refurbishment to an existing communal changing village, a new spin studio with a climbing wall and a newly refurbished reception area. The climbing wall is double level and has a transverse climb through a cave tunnel as well as various climbing wall features that appeal to children.

Cllr Jenny Bloom, Chairman of Aylesbury Vale District Council, who will officially open the redevelopment said: “AVDC have made a big investment in the centre’s revamp, along with a £500,000 grant from Sport England, and we’re all delighted with the results. Access to such fantastic facilities will give local people more opportunities to stay healthy and active, so I’d urge anyone who’s interested to come and see what’s on offer.”
