The beautiful Channel Islands of Guernsey and Jersey each have a smart new Premier Inn to offer visitors this year, with Artelia UK’s
hospitality team overseeing the construction, handover and fit-out of two developer turnkey sites.
The new St Peter Port hotel is Guernsey’s first Premier Inn and its first major purpose-built hotel development in 34 years. The hotel forms part of the wider Admiral Park mixed-use development by ComProp. The 100-bed hotel, which features 15 Premier Plus bedrooms and an integrated in-house bar and restaurant, is already proving popular with travelers.
Over in Jersey, Whitbread has continued its Channel Island expansion with a second Premier Inn for island capital, St Helier, following on from the success of Premier Inn St Helier Charing Cross, which Artelia opened back in 2018. This time the hotel is part of the wider Bath Street and Merchant Square urban redevelopment by LMF (LaMasurier). With 120 beds, including the new format Premier Plus rooms, an in-house bar and restaurant and a prominent location on Bath Street, the hotel is expected to accommodate over 40,000 overnight stays in Jersey.
Well done to the hospitality team for delivering two significant schemes that cement Whitbread Premier Inn’s position as a key hotelier in the Channel Islands.
