Costa is one of the fastest growing coffee store chains in the world and wanted to update its stores to reflect changing consumer demands. Artelia’s challenge was to create a scalable, cost-effective store design that could be replicated across a large 450 plus programme of works. The Artelia PMO team focused on creating a sound commercial model and formulaic delivery manual and design pallet which could be rolled out via an informed supply chain. Pilot sites were delivered to test design and delivery.
Artelia has been working with Costa since 2015 and is responsible for the new Costa Pronto and Costa Fresco formats. We have also delivered Drive-Thrus and developed Costa’s new £38 million new Roastery and Headquarters in Basildon.
