Estates rationalisation to deliver better patient care

Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is re-focusing its acute hospital sites on patient care. In support of this, Artelia is managing a £70m estates rationalisation programme, inter-linked with the Trust’s capital investment programme. Full Business Cases have secured Sustainability and Transformation Funding for projects including re-locating corporate staff to a new modular building; reducing high backlog maintenance and running costs by closing ageing buildings and enabling future land disposals. New and upgraded facilities include renal dialysis and ITU/HDU departments, Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU), Audiology Unit, Nuclear Medicine Facilities, Emergency Departments, wards and outpatient unit and a sixth orthopaedic theatre.
