The Norman chapel range is now of two storeys; the ground floor has a central doorway with a round arch of a single order.
The history of the house known as the Norman Chapel goes back to circa 1130, when a chapel, a property of Tewkesbury Abbey, was erected on the site. There are some small indications in the doorways and quoins which indicate that some of the stonework might remain from the Saxon period.
