Masterplan and feasibility for visitor infrastructure

Anglesey Abbey is a hugely popular National Trust destination in North Cambridge. A virtual doubling of visitor numbers in the last couple of years, to over 400,000/annum, means that the entrance facility can no longer cope. Artelia has reviewed the visitor experience across the whole site, developing a master plan to resolve bottlenecks and open up additional income generating opportunities for the coming ten years, including a radical proposal to develop a new companion entrance building.

Artelia is also reviewing National Trust’s Quinquennial Surveys for Mansion Houses like Blickling and Sheringham Hall in the Eastern Region, to help the Trust prioritise repair work.
