A world class headquarters and centre for surgical excellence

Following a detailed Feasibility Options Appraisal, the Royal College of Surgeons’ (RCS) is progressing with a scheme to redevelop its historic London building in Lincoln’s Inn Fields. The Barry Building is being rebuilt and extended behind its retained Grade II listed façade. The project will also retain and refurbish the historic library. Artelia is cost managing the scheme which will create sustainable, modern offices, education, examination and research resources for the nation’s surgeons. The Hunterian Museum, which previously resided on the first floor of the RCS building, will be expanded to occupy the majority of the ground floor, making more of the museum’s collection accessible to visitors.
