Stoke Rochford Hall Hotel

Reinstatement of Grade 1 listed hotel and conference venue

Stoke Rochford Hall Hotel was severely damaged by a major fire which resulted in roofs and floors collapsing throughout the main part of the 1840s built mansion. All the public rooms, most of the teaching rooms, part of the conservatory and the library were all destroyed. Smoke and water caused further damage.

In consultation with English Heritage and planning officers, ANG Artelia Group oversaw the reinstatement of the Grade 1 listed building, carefully balancing the need to preserve the building’s heritage whilst bringing it up to modern-day standards.

Wood panelling and ornate ceilings were carefully restored and replicated, along with stonework and chimneys. New services and improved facilities were sensitively incorporated into the building with event and conference rooms equipped with AV technology and 12 en-suite bedrooms created in addition to the three refurbished bedroom suites.
