Architecture00’s Design District buildings C1 and D1 have been announced as winners of the RIBA London Awards 2025. Located in Greenwich, these two unique and affordable workspaces are designed to inspire creativity, nurture new businesses, and welcome public interaction.
D1 presents a dynamic vertical landscape of flexible studios, workshops, and offices. With its exposed concrete slabs, full-height glazing, and spacious external decks enclosed in stainless steel mesh, the building fosters a collaborative environment where ideas and creativity can thrive. C1 marks the entrance to the Design District, distinguished by a striking cantilevered concrete slab, a publicly accessible staircase, and a rooftop basketball court that adds an unexpected communal element.
Artelia UK worked with Knight Dragon on the Design District – a central feature of its Peninsula masterplan – a development currently of 14 excitingly bespoke buildings have been completed and provide attractive and affordable workspaces for creative industries. The complex also includes a public square, courtyard, food market and a roof-top basketball court.
We are most proud to be a part of the team – this award is a meaningful recognition of spaces that prioritise community through thoughtful, inclusive design.
